A 69 years old woman died today after the vehicle she was travelling met an accident at Keithelmanbi area along Imphal Jiri road at around 7.30 am today. The driver of the jeep however escape unhurt. The deceased woman has been identified as Angom Ongbi Yaimabi Devi, wife of Angom Ibocou of Phayeng Sabal Leikai.According to report both the deceased and the driver were on their way to Noney to collect banana for Ningol Chakouba Festival when the unfortunate accident happened.
