Imphal, Sept 29: One youth of aged around 36 was crushed to death by a highway plying bus at Khumbong Bazar at around 8:30 am today.
The deceased has been identified as Oinam Joy Singh s/o Late Oinam Ibochou Singh of Khumbong Awang Leikai.
The incident occurred when the bus was coming towards Imphal along the Imphal-Jiribam highway.
The driver identified as one Longjam Nanao (aged 21 yrs) from Moidangpok has surrender along with the bus he was driving bearing registration number MN 01 1988 to the Patsoi police station right after the incident.
The dead body of Oinam Joy Singh has been kept at RIMS morgue for post mortem.
