Rajya Sabha MP Leisemba Sanajaoba inaugurated an Old Age Home and Auditorium today during the observance of International Day of Older Persons at Kakching. The said Old Age Home and Auditorium were built under the MP Local Area Development Fund of the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency MP Dr. Lorho Pfoze.
Speaking at the function, Rajya Sabha MP Leisemba Sanajaoba said the number of old age homes is increasing in Manipur. This is not a good sign for our society. As the rate of parents abused by their own children increases, the number of old age homes also increases. Children are putting their elderly parents into old age homes instead of caring for them. We all should help this old age home so the elderly can live a comfortable life.
