9th Nupee Khunai Meira Paibee Martyrs Memorial Day

Imphal, April 12: Observation committee of Nupee Khunai Meira Paibee Martyrs Memorial Day observed 9TH Nupee Khunai Meira Paibee Martyrs Memorial Day today at YMDA Ground, Liwa road, Maibam Leikai Bokul Makhong in Imphal West.
Chief Guest of the function Longjam Memchoubi, President of Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur while speaking on the occasion said that after merger of the erstwhile kingdom Manipur to India union, Manipur has been living a hell like situation where armed security forces tortured, harassed, Killed and Maim in the name of controlling insurgency by imposing Armed Forces Special Powers Act  (AFSPA) 1958. She further added that Meira Paibi is working tirelessly as human right defender since the time when innocent people of the state has been made involuntarily disappeared after they were picked up by the army..
President of Nupee Khunai Meira Paibee of Liwa Bokul Makhong Wairokpam Mangol, President of Irabot Foundation Manipur Thounaojam Iboyaima, Professor Ksh Bimola of Manipur University and president of AMAWOVA Yumkhaibam Kunjarani were graced the function as president and guest of honor respectively.
