Chandel,Oct.4: Chandel Forest Division and Tengnoupal Forest Divisionna jointly celebrates 62nd Wildlife Week Celebration 2017 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Chandel today.
The celebration under the theme “Celebrate Rights of Wildlife” was attended by Kamei Angam Romanusna, SP Chandel as the chief guest while Divisional Forest Officer Cum District Wildlife Warden, Vinod DK (IFS) presided over the function. Principal of JNV Chandel S.Basavarajna attended as Guest of honour.
Assistant Conservator of Forest Dr L.Jeeceelee, Chandel Forest Division. Range Forest Officer (RFO) Chandel Shamurailatpam Tomba Sharma,RFO Tengnoupal H.Imo Sharma,RFO Moreh N.Santosh Singh among others took parts in the celebration.
A spot painting competition under the them “Our Arboreal Primate: Hoolock Gibbon” was also held as a part of the celebration for students of Class V to VIII
For students of Class IX to XII a spot essay writing completion under the theme ”Biodiversity and Livelihood” was also held.
