The ongoing state assembly session today passed 6 more demands for grant of rupees 982,53,34,000/- after opposition MLAs withdraw policy cut motions.
A sum of rupees 20,01,81,000/- was passed for the Labour and employment department. While discussion for passing of the demand, MLA Ibomcha, MLA K. Shyam and MLA Th. Shyamkumar moved policy cut motion on account of failure to provide sufficient Fund and strengthen the manpower of the department, lack of focus on welfare schemes like RSBY and lack of transparency in the implementation of Labour rules for the Welfare of Labourer.
The amount passed for Animals and Husbandry and Veterinary including dairy farming was rupees 95,12,10,000/- .
The demand for grant passed for power today was Rupees 526,11,14,000/-. While passing the demand MLA Dr. I Ibohabi, MLA Dr. L. Ibomcha Singh and MLA Th. Shyamkumar moved policy cut motion on account of inability to complete the installation of pre-paid meter, inability to replace the existing traditional poor consuming (filament tyoe) bulb by economic and environmental friendly CFL or LED bulbs in government offices and building, failure to repair damaged electric post and failure to collect tax in time.
The grant passed for Social Welfare department is rupees 273,94,19,000/-. MLA Ibohalbi, MLA Ibomcha, MLA Shyam and MLA Shyamkumar moved policy cut motion on account of failure to released fund for pensioner under Old Age Pension Scheme, failure to released fund for construction of Anganwadi and the kind of irregularities going on in implementing various project like ICDS etc.
The grant passed for Tourism was rupees 46,38,52,000 and the grant passed for Relief and Disaster Management was rupees 20,95,58,000/-
