Imphal, Sept. 11: Six councilors of the Kumbi Municipal Council today said that they had withdraw support to the Chairman of the KMC N. Bineshore Singh on their own will and not by the influence of the local MLAs. Speaking to Media persons at Manipur Press, M Inaobi Meitei, Councilor MMC Ward No. 1 said that earlier on June 4 this year the six councilors moved no confidence motion against Bineshore. However, the matter has been was referred to court and finally it has been settled as the councilors still do not support the Chairman Bineshore. He said the allegation made by Bineshore against the 6 councilor to have been influenced by the local MLAs is totally baseless. He also said that as the matter remained too long at the court various developmental works that were supposed to take up has been stranded. He appealed the authority to look into the matter.
