The 5 day Nupa Pala festival organised in connection with the Golden Jubilee celebration of Sangeet Natak Akademi, Kakching was concluded yesterday. The Golden Jubilee function was organised with assistance from Arts and Culture department, Govt. of Manipur. The closing day function held at Kakching Sumak Leikai Community Hall, was attended by L. Upendro Sharma, Director JN Dance Academy, Manipur, Kshetrimayum Munal Singh, President Sangeet Natak Akademi Kakching, Sandham Premita Devi, Councilor Kakching Ward No. 7 and Kshetrimayum Chaoba Singh, Ex-chairman Kakching Municipal Council as dignitaries.
As a part of observance function fitting tributes were paid to the founder of the Sangeet Natak Akademi. Later, students of the Sangeet Natak Akademi performed Ras dance, Khubak Eshei among others.
