4th District Hill Leaders’ Day & Meeyamgi Numit Held

Organised by the District Administration, Pherzawl the 4thDistrict Hill Leaders’ Day&Meeyamgi Numit was held today at the Office Complex of the Deputy Commissioner. SP Pherzawl Shri.A. Ghaneshyam Sharma, MPS; Shri Lunzamung Tungnung, Addl. SP Pherzawl;  I Dinesh Kumar Singh, MCS, SDO/BDO (Tipaimukh & Vangai) and other DLOs led by the ADC Pherzawl (Programme Coordinator) Smt. Ch Sachi interacted with the people to ensure the grievances of the people were addressed.
The SP and ADC of Pherzawl distributed free Text Books, Disability Guide SIB kits and School Uniforms along with agriculture equipments & seeds. Smt. Ch Sachi speaking on behalf of the DCexpresses her gratitude while also observing that today’s event held was successful due to good cooperation of all DLOs and the general public.
Public Welfare Services including awareness through PPT presentation on ‘Non Timber Forest Products’’ & sale of VDVK products by Forest Departments, awareness campaign on domestic violence by One Stop Centre, Aadhaar-Voterseeding, Domicile/Tribe/Income certificates by the SDO and distribution of Police recruitment forms by Police Department are some of the highlight of today’s event. Besides providing other healthcare related services the CMO Teams administered Covid vaccinations on the spot.
Seventeen stalls of different departments were opened to meet the demand of the public.
Meanwhile, prize was also given by the ADC Pherzawl to Master KamthenjoySingson (12) Class VIII of Leijangphai High School for bagging 4th Position in the State Level Best Gifted Child 2021-22 with an IQ Score of 136.
Mentioned may be made that District Hill Leaders’ Day&Meeyamgi Numit will be held every 4th Friday for Pherzawl district whereas if the 4th Friday falls on a general holiday then it will be held on the 4th Thursday of the month.
