45 day weavers’ training programme begins

Inauguration function of the 45 day weaving training under SAMARTH scheme of the Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India begins today at Sintha Handloom and Handicrafts Complex, CFC (Keirao BLC), Thongju Part–II in Imphal East.
Speaking at the sideline of the inaugural function, Bhubon Sougrakpam said that the 45 days training programme will benefit the weavers of the state. He said that the participant will not only get the training from skill trainers but also they will be provided Rs. 210 as stipend daily during the training days and will also get certificate where they can use it for working at any production houses.
Chirom Jasowanta @ Romeo, member of the Bashikhong Zilla Parishad, Imphal East graced the inaugural function as Chief guest while, Nameirakpam Kanon Chanu, Pradhan , Thonju Part II Gram Panchayat presided over it. Ch. Tombi, Project Manager, District Handloom and Textile, Imphal East, Govt. of Manipur, Asst Director weaving, Weavers’ service centre Imphal, Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India, Th. Lata Devi, Pradhan Bashikhong Gram Panchayat, M. Nungshirei Devi, Pradhan Khongman Gram Panchayat, Longjam Ongbi Chaobi Devi, Pradhan Torban Kshtri Leikai gram panchayat, K. Munindro Singh Pradhan, Uchekon Nongchup Gram panchayat and Jadumani Singh Pradhan, Uchekon Nongpok Gram Panchayat attended as guest.
