4 persons were arrested by vigilance police on 23/10/2021 in connection with irregularities of NREGS. They were produced before the duty magistrate JMIC IW-1 and remanded into police custody till 26/10/2021.
The charges include making duplicate card, withdrawing money by forging signature, using account of deceased person etc. Vigilance took up an enquiry based on a complaint and after the enquiry a case was taken up vide fir No.1 (2)2021-V&AC PS. The complainant of the enquiry was also arrested on the charge of criminal conspiracy.
The arrested persons are 1. Heisnam Manisana s/o late H. Judindro, Pradhan, Konthoujam GP 2. Samim Santi, w/o S. Meghachandra Singh, member of ward no. VI of Patsoi CD Block 3. Samim Meghachandra Singh, s/o late S. Sanajaoba Singh of Konthoujam Makha Leikai 4. Complainant namely Konjengbam Ngouba Singh, s/o late K. Henou Singh of Konthoujam Makha Leikai.
