4 injured in police action at Kanglatongbi discharged from JNIMS

Four persons injured in police action during a rally at Kanglatongbi on August 20 demanding justice for six Liangmai Naga civilians have been discharged from JNIMS Hospital, said Thoidingjam Bon, Chairman of the Relief Committee, JNIMS Hospital.

Bon said the injured were initially referred from Sekmai PHC to JNIMS for further treatment. P. Asenbou, 44, of Makhan; Chunwibou, 17, of 2nd MR, Imphal; and Wikhouliu, 36, of Konsakhul and currently staying at Makha IDP Relief Camp, were discharged on August 21. Wilubou Marenmei, 33, of Khunkhu Naga Village, who was treated in the Surgery Ward, was discharged today.

Bon expressed appreciation to JNIMS Medical Superintendent Dr Kh. Lokeshor, doctors, nurses, technical staff and CMHT personnel for their care and treatment.

He also thanked individuals and organisations who provided financial assistance totalling Rs 42,500 to the Makha Relief Committee at JNIMS for supporting the injured during their treatment.
