The Astha Laxmi Mahotsav 2024, sponsored by the Ministry of Doner, Government of India, will be held from December 6 to 8, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. A total of 39 participants from Manipur will take part in the event, showcasing their products across various sectors.
The contingents from Manipur include artisans and farmers from fields such as handicraft, handloom, agriculture, horticulture, and floriculture. They will have the opportunity to display their products during the event.
The program will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with a special buyer-seller meet also being a key feature of the event, aimed at fostering trade and collaboration.
Two Padmashree awardees from Manipur, Machihan Sasa from Longpi village and Konsam Ibomcha Singh, will be part of the Manipur contingent.
