Imphal, March 25: March 26 has been observed as the Red Army Uprising Day every year. Thus 2018, March 26, Monday is also being observed as the XXXVIII Red Army Uprising Day. A press release on the occasion states “At the outset, we offer Revolutionary Salute to those departed brave martyrs who laid down their lives during the past decades of struggle for restoring the lost independence of our motherland, to those Revolutionaries who are languishing in the Prisons and those who are living a life of disable and incapacitated due to the torture meted out by the IOF. The Red Army, PREPAK has been launching offensive against the IOF against the imposition of AFSPA 1958 and other draconian laws to facilitate the IOF to carry out endless extra-judicial executions, torture of the Kanglei people, brutal misconduct against women and so many other oppressive measures during the past many years. Taking all those days on which the Red Army launched offensives against the IOF together, March 26 has been observed as the Red Army Uprising Day every year. Thus 2018, March 26, Monday is also being observed as the XXXVIII Red Army Uprising Day. As this unforgettable day of the Revolutionary movement arrives, Chairman of Military Affairs Committee (Red Army), on behalf of the Party, greets with utmost honour the people of Kangleipak, member parties of CorCom and all fellow revolutionary parties of WESEA region and conveys this message of greetings. The colonial master, India, which has been crushing and suppressing the Kanglei people’s right to life for more than 68 years, has been crying hoarse that it is a country that is fast advancing toward modern progress. Moreover, it is arrogantly claiming itself to be one of the six most advanced and leading nations in the world not only in the field of science & technology and industry but also in the field of nuclear science. Thus the revolutionary movement being built up against such enemy—India that thinks itself as remarkably compatible in different fields in the world will have to face certain colonial brunt and adversity. Such a mass revolutionary movement currently underway to defeat the colonial master, India to restore independence and bring a developed and egalitarian society will be successful only when it is united and is armed with astuteness. Thus our first step toward the revolutionary path is to impart our people revolutionary wisdom and to make them participate in the movement with a united vigor and push ahead a powerful revolution against the common enemy, India.
