30 stalls reserved for eateries in Sangai Festival

Imphal, Nov 3: About 30 stalls has been reserved for show casting eatable food products of the state in the upcoming largest tourism festival – “Sangai Festival” scheduled to begin from November 21 at Hatta Kangjeibung, Imphal East. In a meeting held on October 30, with the Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh as the Chairman it has been decided to reserve forty premium stalls for Manipur Tourism Department for allotment to different Department and Business Partner and around 50 to 60 stalls are decided to allot  to Manipur Pavilion Block including state awardees in handloom and handicrafts etc.

Would be more decorative and meaningful if a stall for some living sangai is opened for the visitors to witness.

Sangai is a rare species. Let us save sangai and at the same time let's try to promote tourism in Manipur.
