Imphal, June 9: Troops of 8 Assam Regiment (AR) yesterday apprehended two cadres of proscribed NNC from Hourang Keirel area under Lamsang Police station of Imphal West District at around 2pm yesterday.
Both the apprehended cadres have been identified as Kaithankhong Balung (24) s/o Meihanthuan Balung and BL Bacham @ Agongthui Balung (25) of Noney.
One 2mm pistol, five live rounds and two Nokia handsets were recovered from their possession.
Meanwhile, one PREPAK cadre was arrested today by trops of 45 Assam Regiment (AR) at around 11:30 am from Lamsang Bazar under Lamsang Police Station of Imphal West District today.
The cadre has been identified as Chitaljit Heikrujam @ Boboi (38) s/o Heikhrujam Santakumar of Uripok Achom Leikai.
The arrested UGs have been handed over to Lamshang Police, army source said.
