3 shops and a house gutted

At a time when when the whole country is struggling to fight the invasion of COVID -19, at a time when the state of Manipur is in complete lockdown, at a time when people are worried of getting day today needs, three shops attached to a house were gutted in accidental fire at Khurai Sajor Leikai in Imphal East at around 9 am today.
Fire fighter of the Manipur Fire service which rushed the spot along with local volunteers extinguished the fire but after burning almost all the valuable items in the shops as well as in the house. Total lost in the fire is yet to be estimated however first hand report said that property worth around 7/8 lakhs may have been destroyed in the arson . The root of the fire is also not known as of now.
The house belongs to one Ningobam Medhapati Devi w/o late Ningombam Biro Singh and the three (3) shops were rented and run by Ningombam Medhapati , Takhelmayum Ongbi Uma Devi w/o Babalu and Yambam ongbi Mangal ,W/O Y Jashobanta Singh. All three shopkeepers are from Khurai Sagor Leikai .
