Three healthcare institutions from Manipur—Mother’s Care Children Hospital and Research Centre, Babina Specialty Hospital and American Oncology Institute (AOI)—received national recognition at the AHPI Leadership Awards 2026, held on September 19 during the 4th AHPI Leadership Summit in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Mother’s Care Children Hospital and Research Centre was honoured for “Leadership Excellence in Patient-Centered Service Quality”, while Babina Specialty Hospital and AOI received recognition for “Excellence in Nursing Leadership & Professional Practice.”
The awards recognise efforts in patient-centred healthcare delivery, service quality, nursing leadership, professional standards and patient care.
Organised by the Association of Healthcare Providers (India), the summit brought together healthcare leaders and institutions from across the country under the theme “Sustainable Healthcare Leadership: Balancing Quality, Cost & Trust.”
The AHPI Manipur Chapter congratulated the management, doctors, nurses, healthcare professionals and support teams of the three institutions, describing the recognition as an encouraging milestone for Manipur’s healthcare sector.
The chapter said the honours reflected growing attention to quality improvement, patient safety, nursing excellence and patient-centred practices in the State. It also expressed hope that the recognition would encourage healthcare institutions across Manipur to further strengthen quality systems and professional standards.
