Imphal, April 15:
A joint teams of Thoubal Commando and 26 Assam Rifles arrested three members of proscribe group KCP (MJC) from Phoudel Mayai Leikai in a search operation conducted on April 14, 2018.
The arrested person has been identified as one Elangbam Kesho Singh @ Priyo @ Romio (42 yrs), son of Elangbam Dijamani Singh of lamjao Awang Leikai.
He is an active member of KCP (MJC).
On follow up action, two other members of the group namely Yumnam Mani Singh @ Nanao @ Telheiba (39 yrs), son of Late Yumnam Kumar Khansa of Thoubal Khong Ahanbi and Letkhohao Haokip of N Mollen Villagem Saikul, a/p New Checkon Pureiromba were arrested.
Two pistols with four live rounds of .32 ammunition, i.e, one 9mm pistol with magazine having four rounds and four mobile phones were seized from their possession.
The arrested persons along with the seized items have been handed over to Yairipok Police Station for further legal action.
