Imphal, Sept 14:
The 26th foundation day of the International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) was held today at the Manipur Press Club.
Speaking on the occasion, T. Birjit, President – IPSA said the present crisis in Manipur was the result of the high humane hospitality of the Meiteis in giving shelter to the intruders who in turned violated the age old ethnic harmony of the 34 ethnic communities of Manipur. People of Manipur now knew who the real enemy was, said T. Birjit adding that the foreign aggressors had marginalised the innocent Kukis by putting them in coming genocide against the innocent Meitei civilians.
Mentioning that the International Peace and Social Advancement was formed on September 14, 1997 with the main vision to work towards bridging the gap between different communities and strengthen the bond of love among them after the founding members of IPSA were working for years under Poireirol Apunba, he said the IPSA would continuously work for the political emancipation of the people of Manipur.
