24 hrs Total Shut Down disrupts normalcy in Jiribam

Jiribam, Mar 30:

Normal life in Jiribam District was significantly disrupted today due to a 24-hour total shutdown called by several local organizations. The Jiri Development Organisation (JDO), Jiri Imma Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (JIMPAL), United Jiri Youth League (UJYL), and Jiri Apunba Khunai Choukhat Lup (JAKCL) jointly called for the shutdown to condemn a recent bomb blast at a shop in Durgapur, Borobekra Sub-Division of Jiribam District.
As a result of the shutdown, government offices, financial establishments, schools, and colleges remained closed throughout the day. The streets saw sparse movement, with only a few private vehicles venturing out amidst the shutdown. The shutdown aimed to draw attention to the security situation in the district and demand action against those responsible for the recent attack.
