Manipur People Party (MPP) today said that the party will support the 24 hours Manipur Bandh called by Mao Council from midnight of 22nd May against the encroacher of land by Southern Angamy Naga Peoples’ Organisation. In a press statement signed by Y. Bhim , General Secretary ( Publicity) MPP slammed the government for remaining quite over the matter even as the party had drawn attention of the government . It also expressed suspicious about the hands of the ruling party to the encroachers of land by people from Nagaland at Dzuko Valley.
Mention may be made that the bandh called by Mao Council from today midnight is supported by various organisation including IPSA, KSA, Maoist Communist Party, Manipur etc.
