Thoubal, Nov.22: District Youth Affairs and Sports Officer, Thoubal Organised 22nd District Level Youth Festival 2017 for maintenance of Communal Harmony at District Sports Complex, Wangjing in Thoubal district.
The function was attended by L.Nabakishwar Singh IAS, Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, I.Purnimasi Devi, District Youth Affairs and Sports Officer Thoubal and N.Rajivkumar, Principal IRE College of Teacher Education as chief Guest, President and Guest of honour respectively.
Speaking at the programme, N.Rajivkumar highlighted the objective, vision and mission of observing the Communal Harmony.
“The spirit of love, tolerance and communal harmony are the need of the hour.
To abstain from any form of violence is one of the values which trying to inculcate among the youth,” he added.
The festival was participated by around 200 youths. Various cultural performances were also presented by the deferent cultural troupes.
The selected Youths will represent Thoubal district in the State level youth festival to be held at Imphal.
During the programme, Team of National Disaster Response Force, Arunachal demonstrate on search and rescue, first aid, fire fighting and mock drills etc.
