21st Annual Conference of NEEA to begin from Feb 14 at MU

The Department of Economics, Manipur University, is organizing 21st Annual Conference of the North Eastern Economic Association (NEEA) during 14-15 February 2020 at Manipur University. The North Eastern Economic Association (NEEA), formed in 1997, is a non-political, nonpartisan, voluntary regional economic association, registered under the SR Act XXI of 1860. With a national perspective NEEA draws members not only from the Eight North Eastern States but also from other States of India. The objectives of NEEA are to undertake, promote, co-ordinate and collaborate in the study of socioeconomic problems and issues with emphasis on North Eastern India; provide a common platform for interaction of ideas and exchange of experiences among the scholars and contribute in promoting technical competence for teaching and research in economics and allied subjects. The theme of the conference is “Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in North Eastern Region of India”. The conference, however, will focus on three interrelated goals such as SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. More than 100 abstracts have been received. The sub-themes of the conference are as listed below:
