20 Journalists honoured on the closing day of the KSA’s 10th Kanglei Mega Sports Festival

Education Minister S. Rajen applauses KSA for their role in promoting sporting spirits to the youth of the state

As many as 20 journalists of the state from almost all media house of the state was honoured by the Kangleipak Students’ Association (KSA) by presenting them Certificates, Track Suit, Shawl etc. on the closing function of the 10th Kanglei Mega Sports Festival 2021, held at Mapal Kangjeibung here in Imphal today.
Education Minister S. Rajen Singh who attended the closing function of the Mega Sports Festival while talking on the occasion lauded the role being taken by the KSA while promoting the sporting spirit to the youths of the state.
“Even though Manipur is a small state sportsperson of the state has brought the fame of the state not only to the country but across the Globe”, Rajen said and added that the credit of the Sport University which is constructing in the state goes to the sportspersons of the state and not to any political parties or individuals.
Kanglei Mega Sports festival was organized by the Kangleipak Students ‘Association (KSA) with the aims to divert the mindset of the youths from indulging in other unwanted activities during the Yaoshang Festival.
The Education Minister Rajen said that such sports events will not only help the youths in nurturing the sporting spirit but also will be able to help the youths from going to antisocial activities during festival times.
The closing function was president by the President of the KSA N. Chetan. Chairman of COHSEM, Dr. Lamabam Mhendra and Chairman of BOSEM Akham Joykumar were also attended as Guest of Honours.
