2 trucks burnt while Congress and BJP are playing blame games

Imphal, Nov 24: When blame game between the Congress and BJP is reaching its peak to the inaction on the UNC’s called indefinite economic blockade at both National Highways in Manipur, one more loaded truck carrying rice for the FCI has been set ablaze by UNC volunteers on National Highway 37 yesterday evening.
Report reaching here said that a loaded truck bearing registration number MN -01 C3796, ferrying rice for the FCI towards Imphal was stopped by persons identified themselves as volunteers of the UNC at around 8.30 pm at Siguilong Village near Nungdolan along the NH-37. 
Photo captured on the spot showed rice bags being pulled down from the vehicle. The volunteers and set ablaze the truck after calling down the driver identified as Lakpati and the co-driver as well as the handyman.
Chief Minister Okram Ibobi of the congress lead government in the state yesterday blamed the center over its failure to intervene the UNC blockade called since UNC is a frontal organization of the NSCN-IM the armed group presently ensuing in peace dialogue with the government of India while talking to media persons yesterday. However, the state BJP leaders have been putting the blame to the congress lead state government for not seeking assistance from the Union government to the ongoing economic blockade.
The blame game confused the general public on whom to trust, but it is now 26 days that the UNC volunteers are let free to stop any goods ferrying trucks to Manipur.
With yesterday evening the number of trucks set ablaze is two. Late previous evening another truck ferrying Chicken fed was set ablaze by volunteers of the UNC near Tadubi. The UNV volunteers also held captive 4 trucks carrying edible items at Senapati ground where the District administration Office as well the police station  is just few yards away.
Meanwhile, report said that central force posted at various part of both the National Highways connecting the Mainland which also serves as the lifeline remain as silent spectators to the illegal activities of the persons supporting the UNC blockade. The BRO to seems to be sidelining as none of the staffs came out to the rescue when volunteers were piling up earth in the middle of the road between Keimai and Oinamlong.
