2 suspected KRA men shot by rivals, another missing

Imphal, May 5: Two of three suspected KRA members abducted last night by unidentified gunmen from Khoken village near New Keithelmanbi under Saparmaina police station were found shot dead this morning while the whereabouts of their colleague is still unknown.
The three persons were identified as Satlhun of Chasssad Avenue in Imphal, Ngamlet Haokip of Thingbongjang village and Jangkholun of Khoken village.
According to sources, Satlhun and Ngamlet went for fishing in Khoken area and stayed at the house of Jangkholun from where the unidentified gunmen abducted them. The lifeless bodies of Satlhun and Ngamlet were found near Boljang village while the whereabouts of Jangkholun is still yet to be known.
Reliable sources stated that the three abducted individuals belong to KRA and the abduction and killing might have been carried out by the cadres of KNP (P), a rival militant group. Satlhun and Jangkholun were described as self-styled second lieutenants of KRA and Ngamlet as its lieutenant. However, the claim is yet to be confirmed.
Police personnel from Saparmaina Police station set forth for the spot.
