Thoubal,Nov.25: New Era Higher Secondary School of Thoubal Okram Wangmataba today organized 1st New Week at the school premises. Awards were distributed on the occasion to meritorious students of the school.
The inaugural function was attended by Lamabam Mahendra Singh , Chairman Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur, as the Chief Guest.
Dr. Maisnam Bidyasagar, Secretary, Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur and Zonal Education Officer of Zone-III Thoubal, S.Mangi Singh attended as guests of honours.
Students who had achieved in the field of sports, culture and education were felicitated by presenting awards. The dignitaries also released the first magazine of the school.
Foundation stone for construction of the new school was also laid.
Cultural programme performed by the school students mark the New Era Week.
