18 martial art players selected for World Martial Art Games

Imphal, Sept 27: 18 state players have been selected in the first phase trial selection for participating in the 2nd World Martial Art Games to be held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi on November 3 to 8. The trial selection is organised by Kyokushinkai Karate Association, Manipur under the aegis of Sports Karate Association, Manipur. Those selected are – Kh. Chitrajit Meitei, Kh. Lakhan Singh, Kh. Tendenba Singh, Thangminlen Khongsai, Jangkholen Khongsai, N. Sanjoy Meitei, Thanjalen Mate, S. Ojit Singh, W. Arun Singh, Kh. Dabar Meitei, Kh. Dewan Singh, M. Somorjit Meetei, S. Yaiphaba Meitei, Soibam Lamnganba, Y. James Meitei, T. Boycha Singh andT. Tampakleima Chanu. Second phase selection will be held on October 2 at OKIBIKAI Dojo, Khurai Puthiba Leikai, Imphal East, a statement of Sports Karate Association said.
