14 Demands for Grants worth Rs. 5,471.91 Crore passed in Manipur Assembly

The Manipur Legislative Assembly today passed 14 Demands for Grants amounting to Rs. 54,71,91,20,000 on the third day of the 7th session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly.
The Demands for Grants approved by the House include State Legislature, Council of Ministers, Secretariat, Land Resources, Police, Public Works Department, Textiles, Commerce and Industries, Power, Youth Affairs and Sports, Jails, Printing, Fisheries, Art and Culture, and Economics and Statistics for the financial year ending March 31, 2027.
Among the major allocations, Rs.3,183,97,49,000 was approved for the Police department and Rs.884,51,28,000 for the Public Works Department. The House also granted Rs.405,90,28,000 for the Power department, Rs.349,10,69,000 for State Legislature, Rs.149,00,27,000 for Secretariat, and Rs.137,54,51,000 for Land Resources.
Other allocations include Rs.102,14,19,000 for Youth Affairs and Sports, Rs.85,13,03,000 for Textiles, Commerce and Industries, Rs.52,40,72,000 for Art and Culture, Rs.43,73,56,000 for Fisheries, Rs.37,37,88,000 for Jails, Rs.21,34,22,000 for Economics and Statistics, Rs.14,16,70,000 for Council of Ministers, and Rs.5,56,38,000 for Printing.
The Demands for Grants were passed by the House as part of the budgetary process for the financial year 2026–27.
