The Manipur Legislative Assembly today passed 12 Demands for Grants amounting to Rs. 8,208,80,65,000 on the fourth day of the 7th session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly.
On the fourth day of the session, Leader of the House, Chief Minister, Yumnam Khemchand Singh laid 12 Demands for discussions and voting for Grants on the Table of the House which includes Demand No.5 – Finance Department, Demand No. 10 -Education, Demand No. 16 – Co-Operation, Demand No. 17 – Agriculture, Demand No. 18 – Animal Husbandry and Veterinary including Dairy farming, Demand No. 27 – Election, Demand No. 36 – Minor Irrigation, Demand No. 38 – Panchayat, Demand No. 39 – Sericulture, Demand No. 40 – Water Resources Department, Demand No. 43 – Horticulture and Soil Conservation and Demand No. 48 – Relief and Disaster Management for the financial year ending March 31, 2027.
For Demand No.5 – Finance Department a sum of Rs. 3532,11,03,000, for Demand No. 10 –Education a sum of Rs.3077,43,14,000/- , for Demand No. 16 – Co-Operation a sum of Rs.29,64,22,000/-, for Demand No. 17 – Agriculture a sum of Rs.257,39,37,000/-, for Demand No. 18 – Animal Husbandry and Veterinary including Dairy farming a sum of Rs. 134,83,17,000/-, for Demand No. 27 – Election a sum of Rs.82,22,76,000/-, for Demand No. 36 – Minor Irrigation a sum of Rs.108,91,68,000/-, for Demand No. 38 – Panchayat a sum of Rs. 132,53,30,000/-, for Demand No. 39 – Sericulture a sum of Rs. 26,46,85,000/-, for Demand No. 40 – Water Resources Department a sum of Rs. 371,78,13,000/-, for Demand No. 43 – Horticulture and Soil Conservation a sum of Rs. 108,95,40,000/- and for Demand No. 48 – Relief and Disaster Management a sum of Rs.346,51,60,000/-.
The Demands for Grants were passed by the House for the financial year 2026–27.
Following this, the House was adjourned until 11:00 a.m. the next day for the subsequent sitting.
