1 injured in blast at Bish. dist.

A person sustained splinter injury after unknown miscreants blasted a low intensity IED near  a petrol pump located near Ngankhalawai in Bishnupur district at around 1.30 pm today afternoon. The injured person has been identified as Yumnam Rajen Singh, son of Gorbodhon of Uripok Kangabam Leikai Imphal. Report said that splinters of the blast hit at his right arms and head while he was driving a Bolero Vehicle along with a friend. He was driving the vehicle towards Moirang at the time of the blast. The report further added that the blasts seemed to be triggered from a place not far from the site as a foot patrol party of a security force was also seen at the close proximity. The injured was immediately rushed at RIMS hospital.
