The education qualification of a person identified as Ningthoujam Lasmon Singh, who is currently serving as FO in the office of the Sericulture Department Bishnupur, Government of Manipur is in question.
According to a source, it is alleged that Lasmon joined service by submitting a fake certificate for passing matriculation examination under the Board of Secondary Education, Assam, which he had never passed.
After joining service, Lasmon hired somebody and let him appeared the matriculation examination conducted by Board of Education Manipur. An enquiry in this regard was conducted by the State Vigilance Department, government of Manipur and he was suspended for many years, a source said.
It also informed that taking the advantage of the prevailing situation of corruption, Lasmon has been allowed to resume his service after revoking the enquiry against him instead of punishing for his act of forgery.
Further, the source also informed that Lasmon is also retaining a certificate of passing matriculation examination conducted by CBSE, New Delhi.
