The atmosphere of fear that was created when the Omicron variant came into picture is vanishing fast as the world population has developed more than 50 percent immunity against Corona. The virus is still making an impact in Western countries, but the Omicron variant could not cause much damage in India. Experts believe that natural immunity developed in people infected during the first and second waves. It doubled after getting the vaccine. Presence of both natural and vaccine related immunity is called hybrid immunity, which has obviously benefited India and the third wave did not make much impact here. Now almost all the states are giving relaxation in the rules and restrictions are being lifted. Schools and colleges have opened and the markets are buzzing with activity. This is a good sign for all of us. Coronavirus had taken the economy and the entire population hostage for two years, but the current situation is indicating that the bad time is about to pass.
There is a hope that the coming days will be good for both businessmen and employed people. This is much needed, only then the world will be able to run and the country will again start moving on the path of progress. Common people use bicycles for mobility. There is good news for the cycle owners. They can now dream of riding an economic e-bicycle. Recently a video went viral on social media, in which a person fits a small device on the top of the pedals in a simple bicycle and within minutes turns it into an e-bicycle. The battery of this e-bicycle gets charged up to 50 percent within 20 minutes. On a full charge, the cycle can cover up to 40 km distance at a speed of 26 km per hour. It can carry 170 kg of weight, which means two persons can comfortably travel on this bicycle. This e-cycle is going to be very useful for common people in rural areas. As soon as the Dhruv Vidyut Electric Conversion Kit is installed, the bicycle starts flying.
Industrialist Anand Mahindra has shown interest in this e-bicycle kit. Mahindra has great interest in jugaad and inventions useful for the common people. Sharing the video of this bicycle on his Twitter, Mahindra wrote that the device is resistant to both fire and muddy conditions and is quite lightweight also. He wrote in his tweet that it is not that this is the world’s first device, but it has a compact design and is capable of running the cycle on rough roads. Thirdly, with the help of this kit, the cyclist can also charge his mobile phone. Mahindra has expressed his willingness to invest money in this venture. What he liked the most about this kit was that it can make the life of the common people of India comfortable and efficient. This will prove to be a boon for the hardworking people of the country. This is true, because the cost of existing e-bikes or e-scooters goes into five to six figures. In such a situation, the dream of converting a bicycle into an EV has a reason now.
