Ranjan Yumnam is an IAS officer and an author who has written extensively as a critic on issues related to society, culture, arts, music, spirituality and technology. Formerly, a correspondent of the Times of India, NCR edition, his works have appeared in major national publications like the India Today and the Statesman. He dabbles too as a playback singer for Manipuri films. As a civil service officer, he has served as Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur and Tengnoupal district and worked at different positions in the Education, CAF&PD, Horticulture, MSCB, MDS, Lok Ayukta and Home Department in the Government of Manipur.
