KIMACS observes 13 years of existence

Thang Ta is an art that symbolise the creation of life

Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS) observed its 13TH foundation day at its Palace Compound Head office today.
Prof. Paonam Gunindro of Manipur University who attend the function as Guest of honor stated that KIMACS is credited for the inclusion of Thang-ta in school syllabus of Manipur state in class IX and X.
He also said that the government is in process to include Tang-ta in the class XI school syllabus.
He further added that Thang-ta symbolizes the creation of life and it also provides discipline moral and physical fitness, however, there has been a misconception about it as people often consider it as an art for fighting.
Naorem Khagendrajit Singh of Manipur University,  Maibam Surjaboro Meitei President of Kimacs and Retd IPS Sarangthem Manaobi International Bar Association (London) were graced the function as chief quest, president and quest of honour.
