NPWF Manipur condemns attack on Naga civilians

The National People’s Women Front (NPWF), Manipur, has expressed its condemnation over the reported attack on the Naga civilians in the I.T. Road area of Kangpokpi district, where five persons were reported killed and one seriously injured.

In a statement, the NPWF Manipur termed the incident a “brutal attack” and offered condolences to the grieving families and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured person.

Violence against civilians is unjustifiable, the organization said and appealed to identify those responsible for the heinous act.

Also, the NPWF Manipur asked the Government of India to take cognizance of the alleged repeated violations of the ground rules of Suspension of Operation (SoO).

It added that the repeated violations may jeopardize peace, security, and trust of the people. Further, it has demanded for abrogation of SoO agreement with the Kukis militant groups and disbandment of armed group operating under the SoO.
