TYCM welcomes online recruitment by Assembly Secretariat, seeks similar facility in other departments

The Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM) has welcomed the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat’s decision to allow online submission of application forms for recruitment to the posts of Driver, Mali, Sweeper and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS).
In a statement, TYCM thanked the Speaker, officials of the Assembly Secretariat and the Government of Manipur for opening online applications from June 8 to June 10.
The organisation, however, pointed out that the Department of Art and Culture is still conducting recruitment for various Grade-IV contractual posts through offline mode without providing an online application facility.
TYCM stated that many job aspirants from the hill districts are unable to physically collect and submit application forms due to the prevailing unrest and disruption of transportation services. The organisation said it had earlier submitted representations to the Chief Secretary, the Secretary of the Manipur Legislative Assembly and the Chief Minister seeking online application facilities for all government recruitment processes.
Appealing to the state government to ensure equal access to employment opportunities, TYCM urged all departments yet to adopt digital recruitment systems to introduce online submission of applications, including provisions for online entry of Employment Exchange Sponsoring Numbers.
