Meritorious students honoured

Top three meritorious students of the Keishamthong High School who excelled in the HSLC Examination were conferred on annual cash award today during a felicitation function held at the school auditorium. The award if being given as a befitting tribute to the memory of late Pukhrambam Shyamkishore Singh, the former Principal of LMS Law College, Imphal, by his family since last year.
This year, the first award of Rs 5,000, instituted in the name of late Pukhrambam Shyamkishore Singh, was given to Keisham Pullindro. The second award of Rs 3,000, instituted in the memory of late Pukhrambam Ongbi Shyama Devi, mother of Shyamkishore Singh, was won by Gyanalaksmi. The third award instituted in the name of RK Sanatombi Devi, former Principal of Ibotonsana Girls’ Higher Secondary School and wife of late Shyamkishore Singh, was awarded to three students – Nongmaithem Banju, Lourembam Gelina Devi and Kangabam Surjakanta Singh (all the three score 76%.
Students of the school performed cultural programme as a part of the felicitation programme.
Head Mistress of the Keishamthong High School Salam Sunita Devi also handed over cash award to the five outstanding students. The school administration under the Head Mistress had also hnoured with cash award to the teachers as well as those students who have brought laurel of the Keishamthong High School.
