The State Level Nodal Agency (SLNA) for Watershed Management, Manipur, launched the Watershed Mahotsav as part of a nationwide campaign under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana – Watershed Development Component 2.0 (PMKSY-WDC 2.0). The campaign seeks to promote community participation in watershed development, soil conservation, and sustainable resource management.
Dr. R.K. Radhesana Devi, Chief Executive Officer of SLNA Manipur, inaugurated the campaign in the presence of Dr. R.K. Sunita Devi, Additional CEO, and Ngangbam Rajesh Singh, Senior Finance Officer. Popular actress and social media influencer Soma Laishram attended the event as a special invitee.

A state-level social media competition on reel-making and photography was also launched. Four short reels of 30 to 60 seconds will be selected for awards of Rs. 50,000 each, covering themes related to water harvesting structures and agro-forestry or horticulture. A photography contest focusing on water harvesting structures developed under PMKSY-WDC will select 50 photographs for cash prizes of Rs. 1,000 each. Competition details are available on the official website, slna.mn.gov.in.
