Govt proposes recruitment rules for MGNREGA Multi-Tasking Staff

The Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (RD&PR), Government of Manipur, has issued a notification announcing its decision to frame Recruitment Rules (RR) for the post of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). The move follows a directive from the Department of Personnel (DP) dated April 24, 2019.
According to the notification, the proposed draft Recruitment Rules, prepared in the Manipur Public Service Commission’s prescribed Form-8, have been circulated for public consultation. The department has invited claims or objections from stakeholders within 30 days from the date of the notification’s issue.
Officials from the RD&PR Department stated that the recruitment framework aims to streamline staffing and service regulations under the MGNREGA Directorate to ensure administrative efficiency and transparency.
