Training on Safety and Security held at Bishnupur

A one-day training programme on safety and security for government secondary and higher secondary schools across the state was held at Bishnupur Higher Secondary School. The programme was organised by Samagra Shiksha Secondary Manipur in coordination with the Department of Relief and Disaster Management, Manipur.
The programme was attended by Khwairakpam Shyamkuma, Principal of Bishnupur Higher Secondary School; Phurailatpam Hemolata, Instructor of Civil Defence; Laishram Nonbala, Junior Instructor; Thokchom Indira, Demonstrator; Luninglu Maringmei Junior Instructor; Naimsinlui Kamei, Demonstrator as resource persons.
Speaking at the inaugural session, Khwairakpam Shyamkumar stated that participants who took part in the training will be mentally prepared and ready to take action in the event of any disaster. He expressed confidence that they will contribute to the state by effectively responding during emergencies.
Speaking at the event, Phurailatpam Hemolata said that this training programme is being conducted to equip teachers and students with the knowledge and preparedness to respond effectively in case of emergencies such as natural disasters, fire outbreaks, or earthquakes. She emphasized that the training aims to provide awareness and readiness to face such critical situations.
As part of the programme, selected students and teachers from higher secondary schools in Bishnupur district participated as trainees.
