As part of its ongoing environmental and community service initiatives, the Lions Club of Imphal Northern Hemisphere today conducted a tree plantation programme at Hope Home, a children’s home for girls located at Takyel Khongban Maning Leikai.
During the drive, members of the club planted around 30 fruit-bearing trees within the premises of the home, aiming to promote a greener environment while also contributing to the nutritional well-being of the children residing there.
Club officials stated that the initiative was part of their commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility. They also expressed hope that the planted trees would not only enhance the green cover but also serve as a long-term source of fresh fruits for the children.
