Winners of 2nd State Level Environmental Quiz Competition-2025 announced

The Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has announced the results of the 2nd State Level Environmental Quiz Competition-2025 held on June 22. The competition was organised under two categories—Category A and Category B—and saw participation from schools across the state.
In Category A, Laishram George Singh of Pitambara English School secured the first position with a score of 82. Moirangthem Miranda from The Modern Academy stood second with 78 marks. The third position was jointly secured by Yumlembam Lanjemba Singh of St. George High School and Yubraj Thokchom of Pitambara English School, both scoring 76 marks.
In the consolation category, eleven students were recognised for their performance. Among them were Thounaojam Thoihenba Singh of Shilleima English Academy, Khaidem Echalli of Emmanuel English Academy, Wayenbam Malemnganba Singh of Regular English School, and others from institutions including M. Ganga Academy, Global School of Human Resources, and St. George High School.
For Category B, Joyson Laishram of Tiny Tots’ Unique School emerged as the winner with 70 marks. Sabir Anwar Khullakpam from St. Xavier School secured second position with 69 marks. The third position was jointly held by Thangjam Sinthangamba Singh of St. Stephen Hr. Sec. School and Chirom Tondon of T.G. Hr. Sec. School, each scoring 68.
The consolation list for Category B included eleven students from different schools. Among them were Arush Khundongbam from The KM Blooming Hr. Sec. School, R.K. Ishworchandra Singh from Herbert School, Khundongbam Taibangamba from Kindergarten Montessori School, and others representing institutions such as Mother’s Pride Academy, BBR Unique School, and Unacco School.
The quiz competition highlighted the growing interest among students on environmental issues and served as a platform to promote awareness and knowledge across educational institutions.
