In a gesture of appreciation and solidarity, artists from the All Manipur Acrobat Association have handed over a sum of Rs. 40,000 to the Chief of Arambai Tenggol, Kourouhanba Khuman, as a token of support and recognition for the group’s daring rescue operations during the recent floods in Manipur.
The donation was made at Koirengei, where the Arambai Tenggol chief resides. The Acrobat artists acknowledged the tireless efforts of Arambai Tenggol volunteers, who braved dangerous floodwaters to rescue stranded individuals from submerged homes in various affected areas. They praised the courage and public-spirited actions of the group amid widespread devastation caused by the floods.
The contribution was made with deep appreciation for the volunteers’ service to humanity, particularly their fearless response during emergencies. The Acrobat team also conveyed their respect and moral support for the ongoing community service undertaken by Arambai Tenggol.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Secretary of the All Manipur Acrobat Association, Namoijam Surjit, said that the organisation decided to extend the support after witnessing the ground-level work of Arambai Tenggol. He was accompanied by several association members who also expressed their admiration for the selfless service of the group.
