In view of the upcoming 76th Republic Day celebration 2025 and other programme such as visit of George Kurian, Minister of State for Minority Affairs and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Meeyamgi Numit, PM JANMAN Conference and Observation of National Road Safety Month, the Additional District Magistrate of Senapati Rang David Kung, MCS chaired the District Level Officers meeting today at DC Conference Hall, Senapati.
During the meeting, discussions were made along with work allocations to be taken up by respective DLO for the 76th Republic Day celebration. For better celebration, a cleanliness drive will be carried on 20th of January. The ADM, Senapati further urged the DLOs for active participation and cooperation in making Republic Day celebration a grand success.
The meeting also deliberated on the visit of George Kurian, Minister of State for Minority Affairs and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India scheduled on 22nd to 23rd January, 2025 who will be reviewing status reports of schemes/ projects implemented by various departments in the district. The concerned DLOs were further appealed to submit their report both in soft and hard copies by 16th January, 2025.
The ADM continued to chairs the meeting regarding on District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit mentioned that it will be held on every third Friday of the month. However, if third February of a month happens to be general holiday or public holiday, then third Thursday of the month will be organized as the Meeyamgi Numit. He stated that for the month of January, it will be organized on the 17th of January at Multipurpose Hall, Mini Secretariat, Senapati. He further appealed the Superintendent of Police, Divisional Forest Officer, Chief Medical Officer, CEO of ADC, SDOs/ SDCs and DLOs to attend compulsory for settling and disposing the grievances at the spot.
Later, the meeting also conveyed on the observation of National Road Safety Month, 2025 (1st – 31st January). The SDC, Senapati Panii Ngaonii highlighted various event/ activities such as District Level Quiz completion, Special Public Awareness Campaign cum information about “Hit and Run Motor Accident Compensation Scheme”, Special Enforcement on road safety rules implementation, Emergency Response Drills regarding road accident, distribution of pamphlet, sticker and banners and road repair and identification of accident prone areas within town and highway areas will be conducted on Road Safety in the district. He also urged the concerned DLO’s to take active participation during the observation of National Road Safety Month.
