Families of deceased Home Guards receive benefits under Welfare Scheme

The families of departed Home Guards were provided financial assistance today under the Manipur Home Guard Welfare Scheme. The benefits were distributed during a function held at the headquarters of the Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association in Lamphelpat, Imphal West.
The event was led by Y. Mangi, President of the Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association, along with Home Guard Commanding Officer Sachidananda and Deputy Bidyapati Thingbaijam. Several association members were also in attendance.
As part of the program, family members of the scheme’s participants, including Kh. Hemabati Devi from Battalion 2, Imphal West, Kongba Kshetri Leikai; H. Naobi Leima from Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak; and L. Shyamson Singh from Battalion 3, Imphal East, Kongpal Khaidem Leikai, each received a sum of one lakh rupees as financial assistance.
President Y. Mangi and CO Sachidananda highlighted that the welfare scheme, which began in March 2022, provides members with a monthly contribution of Rs. 500 deposited into their bank accounts. They also expressed the association’s commitment to continue providing support to the families of members facing financial hardship.
