Wakhalloi Mannaba Apunba (WAMA) Kangleipak has announced a charity drive to support 50-year-old WAMA worker Leimajom Sachi from Langthabal. Known for her hard work and contributions to language and writing, as well as her efforts regarding the issue of Scheduled Tribe (ST) status in the state, Sachi is currently facing severe health challenges.
In a press release, WAMA highlighted Sachi’s endless dedication and her support for various initiatives, including numerous protest marches. The organization is also providing assistance to Sachi and her elderly mother, who are grieving the loss of Sachi’s son, Leimajom Keswor.
To aid Sachi in her time of need, WAMA members have collected charity funds and expressed their gratitude to the MEELAL group for their assistance in the effort. WAMA President Moirangthem Naokhomba, along with 20 other WAMA workers, acknowledged the significant help Sachi has provided to the organization and conveyed their sorrow over her sudden illness. The collected funds are aimed at supporting her medical expenses and facilitating her recovery.
WAMA has also invited the public to contribute to Sachi’s recovery fund, encouraging anyone who wishes to help to donate to her charity. The organization remains committed to supporting its members and stands united in solidarity with Sachi during this challenging time.
