In a heartwarming gesture, Tongbram Robindro Singh, the MLA of Thanga Assembly Constituency, provided pension support to 12 widows and 58 elderly residents through the Chief Minister’s Widow Pension Scheme and Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme. The event, which was meticulously organized by the District Social Welfare Office in Bishnupur and attended by M. Jotish from the same office, took place at the Moirang Khunou Makha Leikai Relief Camp.
These beneficiaries were carefully selected from the 16 relief camps within Thanga AC and are now recipients of the state’s commitment to the welfare of conflict survivors, as emphasized by MLA Tongbram Robindro. During the event, he highlighted the government’s unwavering efforts, led by Chief Minister N. Biren, to find a lasting solution to the ongoing conflict and restore peace and normalcy in Manipur as soon as possible.
MLA Tongbram Robindro made a heartfelt appeal to the public for patience, urging them to reject violence and cooperate with the government’s initiative to bring back peace and harmony in the state. It is worth noting that the Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme and Chief Minister’s Widow Pension Scheme (CMWPS) have provided crucial support to beneficiaries during the months of October to December, offering essential financial assistance during this time of need.
