WAD organized health camp at Uyal village

Following the series of Awareness General Programme held in different part of Thoubal District and in continuation of continuous health camp under the project titled “Humanitarian Support to People Affected by Conflict in Manipur”, Women Action for Development (WAD) with the support of Action aid and ECHO organized a one day free medical camp on April 12 at Wangbal Gram Panchayet Ghar located at Uyal under Thoubal District, Manipur.
Around 204 patients including 126 women from Uyal village and its adjoining area were treated during the health camp.
A team of professionals including Dr. M. Jahangir Shah, Dr. R.K. Surjit, Dr. Annie Bichal Maisnam and Dr. Y. Jotshna from Primary Health Center, Wangjing along one staff nurse have provided their valuable professional contribution. Free health checkup and distribution of various medicines in free of cost were main service provided during the health camp. Ayurvedic medicines for H1N1 commonly known as swine flu were also distributed.
